Cookies are small pieces of information that a website asks your browser to keep. Similar technologies, such as browser storage, can be used for the same purposes.

Read this with the Privacy information, which explains how personal information is handled more broadly.

This site sets only first-party cookies that are strictly necessary for signing in, keeping accounts secure and recovering access:

• Supabase sign-in cookies: persistent cookies whose names begin with sb- and end with -auth-token, sometimes split into numbered parts. They hold the session that keeps you signed in to the Member Hub or Leadership Hub and allow it to be refreshed securely. They can last up to 400 days, although signing out or the session ending removes or invalidates them sooner.
• Supabase secure-link cookies: persistent cookies whose names begin with sb- and include -code-verifier. They connect a password-recovery or other secure email link to the browser that asked for it. They are removed when the link is used; if one remains, it can last up to 400 days.
• som-member-password-recovery: a persistent, HttpOnly cookie set only after a verified member password-recovery link. It lasts up to 10 minutes and is sent only to the member account-security page.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary for a service you ask for, we do not ask for consent before setting them. Refusing or deleting them will prevent sign-in, account recovery and access to protected pages.

The ministry does not use advertising, behavioural-profiling or analytics cookies on this site.

Visits to the site are counted without cookies, as described under “Counting visits” in the Privacy information. If you are signed in and choose Accept or Decline, your device keeps only that choice, the date and time, and a short code, in your browser’s storage.

The embedded services described below are provided by other companies, which may set their own cookies under their own terms.

Google Maps on the Speak, Lord page. The Speak, Lord page shows an embedded Google map of the venue. It loads from Google as you scroll towards the venue section, without asking first. When it loads, Google receives technical information, including your IP address, and may set cookies or use similar storage under its own terms. The venue address is also shown as text on the page, and the directions links open Google Maps in a new tab.

YouTube videos in group feeds. A YouTube video shared in a private group feed does not load until you choose “Load video”. It then plays through YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube receives technical information, including your IP address, and may store information on your device once the video plays. You can instead use the “Watch on YouTube” link, which opens YouTube directly.

Joining an online event opens Zoom, which applies its own cookie and privacy terms.

Your browser settings let you see, block and delete cookies. The controls differ between browsers and devices.

Deleting the sign-in cookies normally signs you out. You can also end a session at any time with the site’s sign-out control.

This information is reviewed whenever sign-in, hosting, embedded media or another external service changes.

If a new cookie is introduced, this page will identify its provider, purpose and duration, and any cookie that is not strictly necessary will not be set until you have agreed to it.
